Oman News Agency reported on Sunday that the Ministry of Energy has launched five new concession areas in the oil and gas sector to foster competition between local and international oil companies, as part of its efforts to attract investments and enhance the development of its hydrocarbon resources. The agency quoted the ministry as saying: 'Registration will begin on Sunday and continue until September 30, 2026, with the results to be announced after the completion of the technical and financial evaluation of the received bids.'
