Muscat — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Friday called for 'mutual respect' before the start of talks with envoys of US President Donald Trump in Oman. 'Equality, mutual respect, and mutual interest are not empty words; they are necessary conditions and the foundation for a lasting agreement'. Araghchi, who represents his country in these talks, wrote on X: 'Iran enters diplomacy with open eyes and a firm memory of the past year', stressing: 'Commitments must be fulfilled'.
