The government of Oman has announced the completion of the acquisition of SalamAir, confirming that both Oman Air and SalamAir will continue to operate as two completely independent brands. Their operational identities, fleets, and services will be preserved. Oman's Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Eng. Said bin Hamad Al-Maawali, stated that this approach aims to reduce the overlap in route networks between the two carriers. This will ensure the optimal use of fleets, expand air connectivity within Oman and the region, enhance operational efficiency, and offer travelers wider choices within the two economic classes in which the airlines operate.
